Choose measures that change the next action

A useful measure has a consequence. If a number rises or falls and the team would behave exactly the same, it is reporting, not management.

Choose measures by writing the action beside each one. If activation falls below the threshold, what will change this week? If a process saves time, where will that capacity go? If a community event is full, what tells us whether it was relevant rather than merely popular?

Small teams benefit from a short measurement ledger: signal, source, owner, threshold, decision. The discipline is not collecting more data. It is refusing numbers that cannot change the next move.
